Name
The name of the Association shall be "COIMBATORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ALUMNI ASS9CIATION-.MADRAS".
Office:
The Office shall be situated at A-43 Anna Nagar, Madras 600102. The Association may however from time to time shift/open office at anyother place(s) as the Executive Members may decide from time to time.
Date of Formation
The Association was found on September 23, 1984.
Business Hours
The business hours of the Registered office of the Association shall normally be 10.00 to 12.00 hours on all weekdays. Sunday and State Government holiday will be observed as closed holidays.
Objectives
The objects of the Association are
	To bring about close contact among all old students of Coimbatore institute of Technology /Sandwich Polytechnic, who are located at Madras.
	To maintain close contact with the Almamater to help, retain and develop its aims and objectives.
	To arrange for periodical get-togethers with a view to foster "esprit de corps”.
	To render mutual assistance in the professional developments.
	To assist old student to the extent possible to better their prospect.
	To assist the alumni in the development of entrepreneurship.
	To install scholarships, merit awards, etc., at the Almamater to deserving students.
	To improve the knowledge of members by arranging Seminar, lectures, exhibitions. etc.
	To periodically publish a complete compilation-"Who's Who" directory - of all the old students.
	To arrange other activities which will encourage closer friendship, companionship and assistance amongst Alumni.
